# See PHX

Webcams from around the Phoenix valley, one photo at a time.

This is a markdown rendering of https://seephx.com/, which is a single page whose entire
visible content is a photograph. Everything below is on that page as text; the photograph
is the part that cannot be.

## What it is

See PHX shows one still image at a time from a public webcam in metropolitan Phoenix,
full screen, changing every 2 minutes. There are 13 cameras, so a full loop takes about half an hour.
A bar in the corner names the camera currently on screen and opens a list to jump to any
other one; choosing a camera stops the rotation and parks on that view, refreshing it in
place on the same interval.

There is no account, no sign-in, no API and nothing to install. It is free, and the viewer is a
single page — everything else published here is a supporting file: this page, /llms.txt,
/sitemap.xml, /robots.txt and the link-preview image. There are no other pages to crawl.

Images are letterboxed, never cropped. Every camera here is 16:9, which still has to be
letterboxed on a screen that is not.

## When to use this

Use it to see what conditions look like right now -- haze, dust, monsoon cloud, light on
the mountains, how busy a skyline looks -- anywhere in Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe,
Chandler, Gilbert or Glendale. Use it as something to leave running on a spare tablet,
monitor or TV.

It is not a source for forecasts, historical images, archives, timelapses or video. Each
camera is one current still, refreshed at the source roughly once a minute. Nothing is
recorded or kept, so there is no past to retrieve.

## Where the photos come from

See PHX operates no cameras and stores no images. The photographs belong to their
operators, each of whom publishes them on their own site:

- [FOX 10 Phoenix](https://www.fox10phoenix.com/webcams)
- [Earth Networks](https://www.earthnetworks.com/)

This site is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any of them. It points at
images they already make public.
